This first song is the one I feel is my best. It has a more chill upbeat mood for most of the song. I knew when I started that I wanted the main chords to change part way through and I loved the way it turned out. At first the drum beat wasn't fitting well with the rest of the song but I adjusted it and it ended up sounding really good. When making this I started with just a bass line and added from there. But I really just enjoy the way this song ended up sounding.
This rushing back remix was probably the hardest to make. Remixing something is a completely different experience from just composing. I started off just trying to add a basic melody and bass and went from there. Although it was a challenge I think it turned out really well in the end. I especially like how the chorus ended up sounding.
This modal beat project, although simple I thought turned out really good. What we did for this song was pick a mode and use it to create our own chord progression. I chose the Dorian mode. We learned all about the different modes while making this and how the different modes sounded. I thought mine turned out really well and I thought the drum beat I made went really well with the rest of the song.
This song was the first one that I made. Most of it was just me experimenting with different loops and automation. I think it turned out ok but it could have been better but you can't expect much from your first song. One thing I did really like about this song was the flute loop because I think it went really well with the bass line.
This track is just a simple drum beat that I made. When we made this we were learning about how to use different tracks for different sounds of the drum to make one cohesive beat. I ended up really liking the way the beat sounded.
This track is just a little mini podcast that I made to show what my favorite song was at the time. During the process of making this we learned about how to make your microphone sound better by editing it in sound trap. I thought it ended up sounding really good and I like what I did with the fade in and fade out of the song.
